Hi.

Welcome to my Design Diary! I am so excited to connect with you & share my design & lifestyle adventures!

Beauty: Island Girl/City Girl

Beauty: Island Girl/City Girl

I am over the lune excited to start planning our wedding (to my squeeze Mr. Alessandro Sax!) and I’m ready to get my fianceé glow on!

Just the like lune, or moon, which has two sides (light and dark!), I also have two personas…

I’m an island girl and a city girl.

I'm always looking for products that will transition seamlessly from sandy beaches to busy streets. I’ve fallen head over heels for a few skin care and make up products that I had to share and cannot get enough of. I love them all for island life (when I don’t wear a lot of make up), and city life (when it is all about transitioning from day to night, in a hurry)!

These are a few of my fave staple beauty products... And all RADFORD Products go LIVE tomorrow, August 5th, on their website, that I linked for you below!

Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Wipes

Obsession: These are perfect for on the go, and great to carry in your purse in travel packs. I use these to wipe off my make up, before doing a deep cleanse.

Ingredients: The beauty is these wipes have %5 silk fibers for an extra gentle clean, and are unbelievably gentle on the skin.  Tested on sensitive skin, because we all get a little sensitive sometimes!

When to use it: I use these after the beach, before a shower, after a day in the city and after a night out!

Where to buy: Shoppers, Local Drug Stores, and Online here.

Radford’s Coconut Oil

I'm a MEGA fan of anything and everything Radford, but this is MASSIVE. Victoria Radford, celebrity make up artist, skin therapist and founder of Radford is launching a new line of make up and skin care that will have you craving more...on August 5th 2017!

Obsession: This Coconut Oil makes my skin so happy it glows. It's not your average oil, and you'll want to put it everywhere. I’ve always followed closely what my friends use, and when my ageless, stunning, dear friend Victoria Radford, was using this all over her body in the Cayman Islands…I immediately pounced.

I love this product two fold, as it acts a moisturizer and a cleanser, which is perfect for beach life when you need that extra salty skin boost, and perfect for city recovery pre/post cleanse. I also happen to love this product so much I use it in many ways! Think: Face, Lips, Collarbones and Shoulders.

Ingredients: Like I said, this is not your average coconut oil. This product is made with %100 pure-raw organic virgin coconut oil and %100 pure-raw organic virgin cocont oil with sea buckthorn. I’ve done a little research, and Sea Buckthorn is used superficially to assist with skin injuries, wounds, eczema, sun damage and acute dryness, and has copious amounts of Phytosterol, Vitamin E, Beta-Carotene, Anti-Oxidants and Carotenoid which helps it be effective as a skin conditioning/repairing oil. I always look for some good Vitamin C and E for skin, which can be powerhouses for preventing wrinkles. Look out for Sea Buckthorn people!

When to use it: I use it morning, mid-day and night! Put this stuff…everywhere!

Where to buy it: In store at Radford in Yorkville, and Online here.

Beauty Blender

Obsession: This is an edgeless, non-disposable, high-definition (perfect for High Definition HGTV!) cosmetic sponge. Actually, this is more of a confessional sponge purchase. I buy a lot of products that I don’t know how to use, and really want to learn, this being one of them. I bought this product a long time ago and I have it in my big make up “kit” for TV and appearances. A lot of make up artists use it on me for shoots, and I really wanted to find out how I could get the best use out of it myself. Now I use it on a daily! I’ll share how to use it below.

When to use it: I use it for my foundation, my concealer, and then I set it using a powder with a brush. The trick is to get the blender WET and squeeze out all the excess water. Then you dab-dab-dab-dab your way to flawless skin!

Where to buy it: At Radford, or Online here.

Ardell Knot-Free Individual Lashes

Obsession: I’m a big fan of lash extensions, if you know the right technician (ask them to put one lash per your natural lash!)! If you’re in a pinch, in between your lash-date or even want a little extra somethin’-somethin’, then these lashes are where it is AT. The trick is learning to put them on properly – practice makes perfect! But they are perfect for a effortless beachy look, or to take your look from day to night in the city! I usually will pop these in my tote or carry them in my travel make up bag, they are such a face changer/game changer in so many scenarios!

Ingredients: I also like to buy the dark lash glue, that makes it look a little more like eye liner and dries nicely with the lashes.

When to use it: When you know you’re getting your photo taken ;)

Where to buy it: Shoppers, Local Drug Stores and Online here.

TIP! I like to buy them online because I know I’m going to use them, so try them out and if you like them, treat yourself online a little!

Radford’s 14 Hour Foundation

Launching on August 5th 2017!!

Obsession: Just like the name says, this is the foundation for your day and beyond. Use your Beauty Blender and put this wherever you need coverage, you will not be disappointed! I’m a girl who needs some coverage, with fair skin and imperfections around my eyes that I’m always cautious to hide from the camera lens. This does the trick! I love a foundation that is creamy, sultry, doesn’t make me look like I’m wearing too much make up, and gives me flawless skin – et voilà!

Obsession: This has to be my favourite lip gloss of all time! I’m already a big fan of a gloss-and-go moment, and I’ve had my favourite throughout the years… This gloss has a little extra oomph to it and really makes your lips look delicious! This is going to be a major hit, giving you smoother, fuller, younger-looking lips in one swipe of the magic wand.

Ingredients: It boosts hydration and collagen synthesis to banish wrinkles and build fullness and volume. Radford has added a subtle blue tint to make your teeth look whiter (yes!), and a fresh mint flavour to keep you make out ready (triple yes!).
